Retreat key information - Delhi-Agra-Rishikesh-Delhi

Retreat tour 1 Dates:  

Saturday 13th June 2020 - arrive into Delhi

Sunday 14th June - Day tour to visit Agra highlights of Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Bibi Ka Maqbara Auraganabad (also known as Mini Taj Mahal)

Monday 15 June - Sunday 21st June  (6 nights/7days) travel from Delhi to or our Ayurvedic Retreat at the luxury Aveda5 Ayurvedic & Yoga Retreat Centre on the outskirts of Rishikesh in the beautiful Himalayas.

Sunday 21st June - travel together from Aveda5 to Delhi centre or airport for those flying out that day/night

This will be a fully guided retreat and tour with a local guide/team who are knowledgeable in local customs, traditions, tips and safety.  

NOTE: Hotels in Delhi will be confirmed once numbers for the group are confirmed but will be staying at a 3-4 star stylish hotel.

Veda5 Ayurveda clinic and spa are run by highly-experienced doctors and offer authentic traditional Ayurvedic treatments and customized care for each guest. High-quality natural products are used for relaxation, rejuvenation and healing treatments and which are done by well-trained therapists under the supervision of doctors. The practice of Ayurveda is designed to promote human happiness, health and creative growth.

Yoga exercises are meant to add strength and flexibility to the body from the inside out so that you don’t just look good but also feel good. Yoga practice also increases energy and your ability to focus which helps you enjoy a healthy and fulfilling life. Yoga can be practiced in softer and slower to harder and more energetic ways as suitable for the practitioner. Veda5 Yoga classes are led by well-renowned instructors having extensive experience in helping people achieve wellness, longevity and self-realization.

The word Ayurveda means science of life and one of the main principles in Ayurveda is that your body is the temple of your soul. Take care of it, keep it clean and nourish it - it will make you happier and give you a more satisfied feeling from inside.

Each body type has different needs and with Ayurvedic treatments, Ayurvedic massages and Ayurvedic food your body will be purified and strengthened so that it can regain its balance in the doshas.   Meals will be eatan at their onsite Ayurvedic Restaurant where they will suggest which dishes would suit your body type best.  Relax in detoxifying and refreshing Ayurvedic treatments and Ayurvedic massages while getting to know how Yoga is implemented into daily life.

You will have daily one hour of yoga practice in this retreat which will be dedicated to stretching, bending and strengthening your body. Due to the limited number of participants your yoga teacher will be able to personalize the workshops to everybody's needs and depending on the group will include gentle yoga positions for beginners, basic yoga poses, yoga for back pain and other areas of the body but also advanced yoga positions if yoga instructors or long time practitioners are among the participants. Whatever your level of practice is - these yoga classes will be designed for you!

Visa information:  All retreaters will need to apply for an Indian Travel visa online, except citizens of neighboring Nepal and Bhutan. 

e-Tourist Visa :

  • Passport need to have a validity for minimum 6 months starting from the date of arrival.

  • The immigration offer may need to do stamping and thus you need leave two blank pages.

  • International tourist must carry a return ticket or a ticket showing permission to carry forward the journey, which they required to manage a hassle free tour in India.

  • If you are availing a business travel it’s necessary to carry your business card or any official recognition for safety.

  • And a person traveling for medical purpose needs to carry the letterhead with dates mentioned when the treatment is going to start.

  • Every individual must have a separate passport. Anyone depending on parent’s or spouse’s passport won’t become eligible for international traveling.

1. A clear and coloured scanned copy of the Page of Passport which holds the personal details.

  • Format – PDF

  • Size – Maximum 10 MB

2. A digital photograph taken by a digital camera or phone camera with the head in the centre of the picture and a light coloured background.
